Hi guys, sorry I have been a bit quiet this week, but I seem to be on stage talking pretty much full time this week: it's the first week of university teem. Here's a talk I did which just made it to the Internet. It may be too long and boring, I'll see if I can get the original file and shorten it a bit

It is easy to speak Globalese.
You make big noises, talk with your hands, with a lot of gestures...
This is the babies language.
It does not work in Mexico City were they tell you to go right when they show you left.

Uncle Jam, your talk is so funny I cannot stop laughing. There is not a single boring second at all.
I show it to my youngest son, and he became terrified of the "How you do do" man with wobbling head. I can now easily control him ("the how-you-do-do man will come and eat you"). Thank you thank you thank you!

I knew that Liftuanians were weird.
But I never thought that they would use "how do you do" as a threat.
I understand now why they are afraid to get out of their elevators to see the world when they grow up

Globalese sounds fascinating. Being a true Malaysian, I can relate. One more: 'Ok ah?' Simply means 'Is this good?'
