Thanks for the nice emails and other messages of support during my recent plea to listen to Muslim concerns. And thanks, most of all, for the links you sent.
I think it’s brilliant that Christians marched alongside Muslims in India to express their disapproval of the nasty video.
I think it’s great that so many Muslim leaders and organizations denounced any violence in the recent protests (click here for partial list).
I think it’s fabulous that people are finally realizing that Muslims have been condemning violence for years (click here for statements made by Muslim groups after 9/11).
I think it’s wonderful how a coalition of Christians and Muslims stopped an attack on a Christian hospital in Hyderabad; how in the Philippines, a group of Mindanao protestors were ordered by the fearsome Moro Islamic Liberation Front to protest peacefully (and obeyed); and how in Egypt, Islamic authorities have launched a probe against Bible-burning by extremists. I think peace is breaking out all over, all though in small places (like individual hearts)…
